The White Hart Hotel

The last time We were at The White Hart I only gave it three stars. Today proved to be much improved! We wanted a couple of drinks and a light bite each only to be given an handwritten limited menu with nothing on We cared for. However the very efficient Waitress offered special dishes. I had creamy garlic mushrooms with half an hot baguette my Wife had cheese jacket potato with salad. SUPERB!! Five stars. Well done to All, Maggie and Andy, Bristol.

We have always found this a friendly pub, with pleasant staff. Standard pub prices and range of drinks. Restaurant does good food. Friday night is Karaoke so expect some loud music. Council Car Park opposite is free in the evening so is an ideal place to park.

I have stayed here previously in Summer 2020 for a few nights but called back in for drinks in November 2021. It's a great local pub that is obviously the center of the town. A great selection of ales at good prices too considering the location. It isn't the most polished pub you will ever visit. But the atmosphere and the warmth of the patrons makes up for any of the little stuff.

Business trip for me for 2 weeks. When I read previous reviews I was dreading it. HOWEVER, I was made to feel so welcome, the Staff couldn't do enough for me. The hotel is a little dated and wifi is intermittent, but my room was bright, airy and clean. There was a small fridge which was refilled regularly, and toiletries replenished daily. Food was varied with lots of chef specials and Rob the chef shared his mint cheesecake recipe with me Trudi, Liz, Rob and Team - thankyou for looking after me x

My husband and I went to the White Hart this month (September) and I met up with friends. We were all very pleased with the evening. We say in the conservatory at a table for 6. The area was clean, comfortable and attractive. The staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. They were obliging whenever we asked for something. The food was delicious. One of us had meat the remainder of us had local fish. All the food was piping hot and delicious. We will certainly return.

Had a Christmas lunch in the restaurant yesterday. Could not fault the friendly efficient service and the meal was superb with all the vegetables cooked perfectly. Most enjoyable

Staff were always friendly and polite. Service was flawless and it’s in a well placed area with a lot of local history surrounded close by. The breakfast was spot on for each day I stayed. Whether you’re there day or and night you should be happy with your experience here. The rooms were comfortable, clean and service was up to if not better than standards of other establishments I’ve stayed at. It is worth more than the price they offer in my personal opinion.

Sunday Dinner is excellent, one of the best I have had

Extremely welcoming staff who looked after our group of ten really well. Good food with very large portions! Pre ordering was efficient and resulted in prompt service. Parking on site was limited, but large car park opposite always had plenty of space, as long as school drop off and pick up times were avoided.

in the bar for a meal as its their dog friendly area, really good customer service by the lady with dark hair and glasses who was helping in the bar and kitchen, chef who knows his trade so a tasty cooked to order piping hot meal. They also good on their allergens as lactose intolerant.
